Your Home and the Story of Who You Are.
When you enter somebody's home, in an instant, you see who that person is, used to be, and aspires to be. The size and the location of her home may tell you facts about her financial status, but how do you find her soul? Why, you find them in the way she cares for the interior and the exterior of her home, of course.
Whether she cares much about how her home looks or not, the walls of her rooms will always tell you of what they've heard. Thus, before you start talking to her and wondering if she'll be your friend, you should consult with her home first. The furniture she chose may tell you if she has a tensed or flexible world view; the way she arranged the furniture in her living room may tell you if she prefers movies or a fancy dinner for a date; what she hung on her walls may tell you if she likes to have discussion about family, art, music or if she likes to discuss at all; and the variety and the condition of her plants may tell you a few things about her patience.
For some people decorating their homes come as easy as breathing. For some others, however, decorating is a constant battle. Naturally, this is because some people just know who they are, and the others continue studying themselves. Whatever category you fit in, you still like to make continues adjustments in your home and garden because you know, consciously or subconsciously, that this is one of the main ways you fully express yourself.
This blog, the virtual home of two friends, will try to express who we are, were, and wish to be, through notes and pictures of our homes and gardens. Welcome to Sweet Decor and Garden!
